For years, web design was controlled by the designer, who was under the instruction of the business which would own the website.  The user had no choice but to accommodate the site’s demands for a screen of a certain size or a network connection of a certain speed.

Times have changed - what seems most amazing is that it looks as though social media and mainly Facebook created a whole paradigm shift.  Today, the user experience (UX) is paramount.  Websites are made with users in mind.  Interactive design is evolving and new ways of using the web and apps brings new challenges for the designer and the businesses that need to re-examine and redesign their websites with Users in mind.

On the twentieth anniversary of the World Wide Web, Tim Berners-Lee wrote an article for Scientific American in which he reiterated those underlying principles:

"The primary design principle underlying the Web’s usefulness and growth is universality. The Web should be usable by people with disabilities. It must work with any form of information, be it a document or a point of data, and information of any quality — from a silly tweet to a scholarly paper. And it should be accessible from any kind of hardware that can connect to the Internet: stationary or mobile, small screen or large".

I will help you with the right content, an effective layout, easy navigation and at the same time ensure improved SEO.  Your site will be responsive (mobile device optimised) and it will communicate your business’s brand position and promise.

A website’s design will make the site visitor decide whether to stay and take action or leave – it’s as simple as that.  It will need to create trust, make sense and allow people to find what they need quickly and easily – while doing what you want them to do.

I cannot stress enough that in 2017 it’s about the User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI).  And that is what I can help you with.
